Dr. Mohsen Yoosefzadeh Najafabadi is currently working as a Research Associate and Special Graduate Faculty in Soybean Breeding & Computational Biology as part of Prof. Istvan Rajcan’s lab in Soybean Breeding & Genetics in the Department of Plant Agriculture at the University of Guelph. His research mainly focuses on plant breeding, computational biology, artificial intelligence, and Omics-based studies.

Dr. John Sulik is an associate professor in the Department of Plant Agriculture at the University of Guelph. He specializes in the application of digital technologies such as Machine Learning, Remote Sensing, and Geomatics to agronomy and plant breeding.

Dr. Lewis Lukens’ group focuses on bioinformatics and quantitative genetics, and he teaches bioinformatics and genetics at the graduate and undergraduate levels.

Chris Grainger has been developing and utilizing genomic technologies for the last 20 years to address challenges in Agri-Food and Biodiversity. As the inaugural lab manager for the Canadian Center for DNA Barcoding, he developed founding methods and infrastructure for a global, DNA-based species identification system. As a senior research associate and lab manager for the Plant Agriculture Genomics Facility at the University of Guelph, he leads efforts to develop molecular breeding technologies for various plant breeding and genetics research programs. As CEO of TurnKey Genomics Inc., Chris is focused on delivering new genomic technologies and crop development methods to help Canadian Ag companies address challenges in food production and food safety.
